When you have double-checked your lines, dip the egg in the Bright Red dye. Leave it in about 15 minutes, or until the desired shade is reached (REMEMBER: NO LONGER THAN 45 MINUTES!). Then gently remove it, and dab it dry.

Fill in the middle of the diamonds, as shown. Use the medium kistka.

Draw the horizontal lines around the egg, as shown. Fill in the star on the top and bottom of the egg.
Use the heavy kistka, on both sides of the egg. When you have double-checked your lines, dip the egg in the Black dye. Leave it in about 15 minutes, or until the desired shade is reached. Then gently remove it, and dab it dry. Let it sit a few minutes before proceeding, then complete the egg as described in the Finishing Up section. |
