Use the heavy kistka on both sides of the egg.
When you have double-checked your lines, dip the egg in the Black or Royal Blue (the red underneath will make it very dark). Leave it in about 15 minutes, or until the desired shade is reached. Then gently remove it, and dab it dry. Let it sit 15 minutes to an hour or two before proceeding, then complete the egg as described in the Finishing Up section.
